Little Golden Light
Fingers of light stretch from a horizon line bathed
in soft pink and orange,
little tendrils of golden sun reaching
to find their way into the room and across crumpled sheets,
spilling sweetly onto his cheeks and eyelashes.
We’re staying at a cozy Inn nestled in a little town near the ocean
and I realize that I’ve fallen in love with him again.
